Build Your Branding the Right Way & Get Noticed

In some ways this part of your business is the superficial one. It’s the skin of your products or services, but not the meat.

And it’s also very important to get right.

  • It’s the first impression of your brand at a party.
  • Branding is your company’s ego and communication tone.
  • It’s what gets you noticed and in the door of new prospects.
  • And it must be designed well.

Because great design is an immediate confidence signal to those who experience your company for the first time. A confidence that can open up wallets.

It also says to your ideal audience; “We have arrived at the right place. Let’s investigate further.”

Great branding will communicate your vibe, your mission and your service at a glance. While making sure that you don't blend in with the existing competition.

And It’s the precursor to all of your future marketing.

How Marketing is Speaking The Correct Language of Your Customers

So after you have created your company, figured out who you're going to serve and how you’re going to serve them. Now it’s time to take your business and products to the market.

Because of modern life, and being glued to our digital devices, we have all lost track of what marketing really means.

In it's original setting “the market” was the center of our traditional villages. It’s where you got all your goods and services.

To exist as a business you had to actually go to the market, aka the marketplace, set up a stall and sell your wares.

So marketing is the act of going to the marketplace (place where the market exists -physically, digitally, locally or globally) and letting all who congregate there know that you are alive and are ready to do business.

To get back to the art of this, go to any traditional outdoor market and observe: What are people doing to get my attention?

Typically they shout clearly to what they are and what they sell -all day, everyday. Sometimes with style and sometimes with brute force.

Whatever it is – it’s loudly, proudly and consistently. And this equals good marketplace presence where the benefits of what you do are as clear as a bell.

Creative and Unique Social Media Content Creation

Great marketplace presence has now extended into what we call “social media.”

It’s the casual place where we hang out by the global virtual water cooler and shoot the breeze.

Through memes, quote cards, cat videos and daily vlogging etc.

Either with fellow vendors, networks and or our growing core audience.

Like good marketing, to be successful at it, and remain in the mind your customers, it needs to be done consistently.

In a world where we can only recall that which is at the top of our mind. Being at the top of your ideal audience's mind is critical to your success.

Success as being known as “the only” or “best person” who does what you do. The first choice in a sea of infinite options.

But how do you come up with content for all these channels. How do you share the more intimate side of what you do.

The day to day. The trials and the triumphs. All in a way that engages your core audience – not bores them.

And in a way that ignites them into evangelists for what you do while building a tribe both online and in real life.

Note: There are many books and websites out there to advise you on HOW to do social media. But not really WHAT. I've found that these two books by Austin Kleon offer you an endless wellspring from which to source your content. Aka tapping your creative side. Then you can get into technique, tone and timing.

The Art of Selling Your Customers on What They Need

No company is a company unless it sells things. Up until that point its either called a start-up or a hobby.

In your journey you have already tackled the fears of finding your voice and building a product.

But now its time to sell it to the public you serve.

Yes marketing and social media is how you “get out there”. But after you market, you must sell.

And often that means interacting with customers. Customers must be sold correctly on what you do so that they can understand if your product or service solves their specific needs today.

For me, there’s only one name you need to know to solve your selling game. To get over your fear of actually interacting with your customers. And he is a powerhouse: Grant Cardone.

Period.

Every fear you have ever had about the “dirty word,” aka selling, is about to be destroyed. And then replaced with a cool, calm and assured conversation of giving your clients and customers nothing less than the best of what they most need.

Every time.

Dive Deep Into Why the People You Serve Buy What They Buy

There have been many times I’ve said to myself; “If only there was a way to get into my customers head.”

To have them click on my latest post and hit the “buy” button so hard they almost break their finger.

Or if there was a way I could create a runaway viral wildfire of a campaign and then become popular overnight.

Well, it doesn't always happen that way.

In fact the sooner we realize that it’s showing up daily. Combined with hard work, even when we don't feel like it, that is going to be the main way we “make it” – the better.

But there are some pretty consistent ways us advanced apes think and move through the world.

And it’s good to have a fundamental understanding of these emotional and irrational behavior patterns.

Along with how our attention comes and goes and prioritizes information.

That way we can address the real ways people shop and communicate. And form our content and products correctly around this enigma called “the mind”.
